Day 23 – unexpected clarity

d23A quiet day up on the hill. Sitting just present to the day and random thoughts gathered themselves into an unexpected clarity about the past weeks. My reflection today tries to put words around my discoveries. Sometimes things make best sense in retrospect.
Alison came today, with food, one of the dozen people who rostered themselves to bring my delicious evening meals. So many generous people have been part of my vigil. Thank you so much.
Late in the day I appreciated a visit and sharing  ideas with our local Greens politician, Shane Rattenbury. I was also pleased to meet Gai Brodman of federal Labor who joined us briefly. And a special visit from Linda, Anne and Jill, activist colleagues from Women in Black in earlier years was a highlight of the day.
